Recent Accomplishments
2010 Highlights
- Maximized care and increased services: Provided quality
pediatric care to a record 6,026 patients and provided 23,830
office visits. Patient visits have increased 40% since 2008.
- Established 1,821 new patients and increased services to
newborn babies. PediPlace provided healthcare to 428 newborns
during 2010.
- Promoted classes for parents of new-born children that
coincide with the child’s two-week checkup. Sixty-six percent
(259) parents attended these educational sessions.
- Established and funded the PediPlace Healthy Babies Program to
promote well-child checkups for children ages birth to fifteen
months without any insurance coverage.
- Created the Reach Out and Read program at PediPlace to bridge
literacy education from the exam room to the classroom. Children
ages five months to five years receive a new age appropriate book
from their medical provider at each well-child exam.
- Recognized as having a 95% immunization rate among our
patients.
- Established “investee” relationship with Dallas Social Venture
Partners.
- Completed a new Strategic Plan that sets aggressive targets
for growth of services and infrastructure for the period
2011-2013.
